About 200 enthusiastic people showed up to join Patty, Melissa and Scott at the Dysfunctional Family Jazz Band's New York City CD Release Party for their new album Under My Hat. The gig took place at the refurbished Parkside Lounge on Houston Street and featured Patty Carpenter and Melissa Shetler on vocals, Scott Shetler on saxophones and clarinets, Fintan O'Neill on piano, Dave O'Rouke on drums, Bryce Sebastian on bass, and Herschell Dwellingham III on drums. The two set engagement also featured a guest performance by Melissa's step mom, vocalist Jill Gross. We sold some CDs and everyone had a great time.
